Weekly Devlog #4: Diagnostic Precision & The Sound of Coaching
We are officially in the "Pre-Launch" week for our General Availability (GA) launch on May 18. This week was about precision: ensuring our lead magnets provide real value and our upcoming Voice interface feels like a first-class citizen.
Technical Milestones
1. From "Contact Form" to "Diagnostic Tool" We completely overhauled the **Manager Friction Audit**. Previously, it was a simple lead capture form. This week, we converted it into a true diagnostic wizard based on the **5 Pillars of Management Friction**: - Context Switching - Feedback Velocity - Strategic Alignment - Emotional Tax - Growth Neglect
By calculating a real friction score server-side, we can now provide immediate value in the follow-up email and, more importantly, prime TECA with "Baseline Context" the moment a new user signs up.
2. Voice AI Beta: The Sound of Leadership Real-time coaching is no longer an abstraction. We've launched the **Voice AI Beta Landing Page** (teca.coach/voice) featuring a hands-free coaching demo.
Integrating Deepgram for STT and ElevenLabs for TTS into a sub-800ms loop was a challenge, but seeing a manager talk through a roadmap conflict while pacing their room—without ever touching a keyboard—made the "infrastructure tax" worth it.
3. The Frappe Enterprise Plane (ADR-0005) As we scale from individual managers to full organizations, we need a robust backend for "Coach Ops." This week we finalized **ADR-0005**, committing to a managed Frappe Cloud architecture.
This infrastructure allows us to offer anonymized aggregate reporting (The TECA Lens) for our Series B/C pilot customers. We've already integrated the first reporting link into the dashboard sidebar (visible only to `is_org_admin`), laying the foundation for organizational intelligence.
4. GA Readiness & UTM Standardization Marketing and Engineering have fully synchronized for the May 18 launch. We’ve standardized our tracking parameters (`utm_campaign=ga-launch-20260518`) across all surfaces—from blog posts to social queues and email blast variants. Every sign-up from Monday onwards will be accurately attributed to its source segment (Engineering vs. Sales).
What We Learned: The "Baseline" Advantage
As we moved toward GA, we realized that the "blank page" problem is the biggest hurdle for new managers. Most users don't know where to start their first coaching session.
**The Lesson:** The diagnostic audit isn't just a marketing tool; it's a product feature. By capturing the 5 pillars *before* the first session, we can have the coach open with: *"Based on your audit, it looks like Context Switching is your biggest energy leak. Shall we dive into your deep-work rituals?"* This reduces time-to-value from minutes to seconds.
Next Week: GA Launch (May 18)
Next week is the big one. We will be opening TECA to everyone, sharing our public Eval Baseline, and starting our first major outreach push to high-growth teams.
Stay tuned. The future of coaching is longitudinal.
